Location:
Diamond Apartments is located on a hill, overlooking the city, the marina and the port (Scala Nuova). There is approx. 10 minutes by foot to the centre of Kuşadası. Traffic noise is limited due to the buildings between Diamond and the circular road.

Facilities:
The compound with its 61 apartments in 2 blocks, swimming pool with a water fall, children’s playground, barbeque area and shops is surrounded by a stone wall. Caretaker, gardener and security will have their own quarters inside the compound. There is one 6-person elevator in each block, back-up generator for elevators, water pumps and external lights. The compound has its own water supply.

Why Turkey?

Irelands leading international property magazine wrote in its October 2006 edition: “Turkey, the rising star of Europe’s property industry. Turkey has experienced phenomenal growth over the last two years and it shows no sign of slowing down any time soon. Following hot on the heels of the country’s tourist boom, Turkish property is growing up at a remarkable rate and capital growth has been sky-high – up to 100% per annum in some key hot spots. Infrastructure is good in most buying locations and new flights are being launched almost by the day.
At present, the market is predominantly centred on tourist-friendly coastal resorts and is heavily new-build oriented; but, as it matures, resales will become increasingly important and, with the government promising to restrict development to avoid coastal damage and oversupply, the foundations are being laid for a durable boom that should be supported by solid economic growth.

Decades of vacillations ended in late 2005 with the confirmation of the beginning of Turkish EU-accession negotiations. While this is at least 15 years away, it will undoubtedly help consolidate a market that is still in its infancy, including the development of a more comprehensive land registry. Whether or not this process will have much impact in the near future is probably irrelevant for the moment, it’s all systems go for Turkish property”.

Why Kuşadası

This seaside resort town has grown immensely in the last 30 years, and is especially popular with package holiday-makers from Europe. From a population of 6000 in the 1970s, it is now closer to 50,000, although a high proportion of this are part of the tourist industry and here only for the summer. Many cruising ships travelling around the Aegean Islands stop here, especially because of its close proximity (20km) to Selcuk. Kusadasi is a good base to explore this and other ancient cities like Priene and Didyma.
Although there is little of historical interest in Kuşadası itself, the town is popular predominantly because of its many hotels, restaurants, souvenir and carpet shops, and lively nightlife. The Kale district has some old traditional houses and narrow streets, and gives some indication of what the town used to be like. The most famous beach is Kadinlar Plaji, 2,5 km south of the town, dominated by huge hotels and can get very crowded in summer. There are several small beaches further south, and closer to town is Yilanci Burnu, the peninsula.
